The Solution to better skin is not just What’s in Your beauty cupboard, bit Also with what’s in your fridge.
Men and Women constantly treat and protect their skin from the outside, daily, sometimes twice daily. Am I right ? Heres a question, how often do you treat your skin from within ?
I was speaking to a lady the other day that mentioned she had a break out on face, she knew this was down to the food she had been eating. A little might have been down to stress. So this inspired me to research and write this post on getting better skin from within.
Let’s just get to it, some of these foods you might not have even tried, please they bring some many other benefits… base the foods with many other amazing foods to see how your SKIN fairs up.
Beans – Beans are low on the glycemic index and also rich in biotin. That means that avoid rapid increases in blood sugar, which can help contribute to acne and also help promote younger- and healthier-looking skin. People deficient in biotin may have dry skin, so get your daily serving (at least 1/2 cup of cooked beans) to make sure your complexion stays hydrated…. oh and lots of water !
Oatmeal – Not only is oatmeal a great option for breakfast (and overnight oats make a quick and easy grab-n-go meal), it’s also a healthy skin booster. Oats contain chemicals that can prevent skin cell damage. They also contain fiber that keeps you satisfied until lunch and prevents crazy blood sugar spikes that aren’t good for your skin. Put down that morning high sugar cereal and make oatmeal.
Bell Peppers – Colourful bell peppers they help fight wrinkles and crow’s feet (according to a study in the British Journal of Nutrition)! Bell peppers are packed with antioxidants, which are warriors against free radicals that wreak havoc on skin and promote aging.
🥑 – Avocados are great for skin and this amazing ingredient is been used in a lot of DIY and commercial skin products. Avocados contain essential fatty acids that are great for maintaining and improving skin health. Apart from essential fatty acids, avocados are also rich in vitamin C, vitamin E and antioxidants. Yes use them in products for your face, but I say EAT THEM !!!!!!
Pineapples – Vitamin C is a well-known skin-benefiter. Pineapple is high in vitamin C and also in enzyme bromelain, which is known to be an effective skin softener. It can synthesize collagen and aid tissue and cell repair. Ok ok have it sitting on the rim of a cocktail glass, just remember to eat it !
Chia Seeds – Chia seeds contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium. They are an unprocessed, whole-grain that is absorbed by the body as seeds. Two tablespoons of chia seeds contain four grams of protein, nine grams of fat (fantastic fats we should be eating), 12 grams of carbohydrates, and 11 grams of fiber. Try making some chia seed pudding for breakfast, or throw them into smoothies or FULL FAT yogurt.
Please remember we need to be eating these amazing foods with many others REAL WHOLE FOODS. Don’t Do Diets and don’t EAT LOW FAT food.
